Stowarzyszenie Żeglarsko-Szantowe powstało w 2004.

Skupia entuzjastów kultury morskiej. Wszytko zaczęło się w Kielcach (i tam jest główna siedziba Stowarzyszenia). Dziś istnieją już Oddziały w Radomi ui Trójmieście, powstają następne.

Sztandarowym dziełem Stowarzyszenia jest istniejący od jesieni 2003 roku festiwal Kieleckie Spotkania z Piosenką Żeglarską "Szanta na Sukces".

W 2010 roku w Trójmieście odbyła się pierwsza edycja European Maritime Culture Festival "Maritime Roots" Festiwal będzie się odbywał co dwa lata.

Stowarzyszenie oprócz koncertów festiwalowych, organizuje festyny rodzinne, ma za sobą organizację wystawy filatelistycznej, wydaje śpiewniki, organizuje konkursy na piosenkę żeglarską.
Wspólpracuje z innymi organizacjami pozarządowymi.

The Sailing-Shanties Association “Gejtawy” was founded in 2004.

The Association brings together enthusiasts of maritime culture. Everything began in Kielce (where is the main seat of the Association). Its branches already exist in Radom and the Tricity, and the new ones are being opened.

The Association is most famous for the festival called Kieleckie Spotkania z Piosenką Żeglarską "Szanta na Sukces" which has been running since autumn 2003.

In 2010, the first edition of the European Maritime Culture Festival was held in the Tricity. The Festival will be held every two years.

Apart from the festival concerts, the Association organizes family garden parties and sea song competitions, publishes song-books, we also happened to organize philatelic exhibitions.
